Upon watching the video, it makes me miss those grunge girls from the 1990s! Nowadays, being a girl/woman takes so much maintenance–and not just because I’m older. It seems like most of my women students have styled and highlighted hair, visit tanning booths, and engage in some serious depilation with various body parts waxed professionally.

I’m glad I went to college and grad school in the relatively hairy and unkempt 80s and 90s. I don’t know how my students can afford all of this body maintenance.

On the views: it’s a good thing to live in Colorado. I like driving 2-3 hours and getting someplace that looks entirely different from where I live. That’s one thing about living in SW Ohio I didn’t like: driving 2-3 hours, or even 4, 5, or 6 hours in any direction put you in a place that looks a heck of a lot like where you started.
