Not that I've ever voted Liberal in my life, nor would I have done so this time. My bet is that Dion has 40 IQ points on Harper though. Another misfortune for Dion - his anglais doesn't quite flow. We allow English-speaking politicians to speak heavily accented French, but the opposite simply does not compute. Many people say they think Dion is stupid. Since this is clearly not the case, one can only conclude that many people think that a person who speaks accented English is ... a dunce. SIGH. Note also that fewer people - 38% - voted in this election than ever before in history. Overall, it just wasn't very entertaining. There are some whispers now that Harper has hardly managed his party to impressive mandates and that his leadership may be at issue. Personally, I doubt it, but it's important to dream, eh? (Been there, didn't do that, on the North side, during the last political meltdown). It would be left-right-left, governmentally, until you stumbled into the Straits of Magellan, but at least they're coming out of winter and into summer, and that sounds pretty good at this point.
